01
When exactly do I pay?
▾
Only after you approve the live preview. No deposit, no setup fee, no card on file during the build.
When you say go, we send a secure Stripe link, you pay your first month, and the site goes live the same day.
02
Why are there two charges on my card?
▾
HOO bills you its monthly fee. Shopify bills you $39/mo direct. No markup, no middleman.
That way you own your hosting outright — if you ever cancel HOO, your store stays put and you keep running it on Shopify yourself.
The only other costs are your domain name (~$15/yr at any registrar) and any paid third-party apps you specifically ask us to wire up.
03
What if I don't like the build?
▾
Then we change it. Free. We rebuild sections, swap colors, rewrite copy, until you'd put your name on it.
If after all that you still don't want it — walk away. You owe nothing. No paperwork, no guilt-trip.
04
Can I cancel? What happens to my site?
▾
Cancel any time. Email us. No fee, no contract.
On cancel, we transfer the Shopify store to your account so you keep the site you paid for.
You take over hosting ($39/mo direct to Shopify) and run it yourself, or hand it to another developer.
Your site, your call.
05
How do I actually pay?
▾
Stripe. Card or Apple Pay / Google Pay. After approval, you'll get a private link to your client portal — that's where invoices live and
where you upload photos & comments anytime. Auto-renew is opt-in; we never charge a card you didn't put in yourself.
06
Refund policy?
▾
Since you only pay after approval, refunds are rare. But if something goes wrong in your first month — site down, broken on mobile, anything we promised that doesn't deliver —
we'll fix it within 24 hours or refund the month, full stop. No "tickets," no support runaround. Email Matthew direct.
07
Who owns the site?
▾
You do. The Shopify store is registered to you (or transferred to you on launch). The code we wrote, the photos you provided, the domain — all yours.
We're your builder, not your landlord.
08
What's the catch?
▾
Honestly? We're a small KC shop building a reputation. You taking a chance on us is the trade.
We don't charge upfront because we'd rather earn the work than lock you in. If we deliver, you stay.
If we don't, you walk. That's the whole deal.
